I became a Parent Governor in late 2011 when my eldest son Thomas started at Bloxham Primary School in foundation. I wanted to get involved first hand with the school to try and help the staff and pupils in whatever small way possible. It has been a steep learning curve but ultimately very rewarding to see the commitment shown by everyone involved in the school.
Although I am from north of the border originally my wife Camilla is from the area and we settled here six years ago having previously worked in London. We both work as architects locally and look forward to a time when the boys are bit older and we can have pastimes again.
