A very special visitor
In English this week, we have been continuing with our poem ‘The Kraken’, identifying the key features, exploring the language and planning our own poems containing our designed mythical creatures. In SPaG, we have been learning about phrases: where we find them, what they are and how to use them. Next week, we will be continuing with the planning of our poems and towards the end of the week, we will be writing them.
In Science, we have been learning all about classifying, microorganisms, microbes, invertebrate and vertebrates. We consolidated our learning this week, by completing a test based on these topics. Next week we will be looking at the human body – including the organs, blood and brain.
Today we had a special visitor come and speak to us all about life in A & E (unfortunately we did not make it around A & E during our trip to I.M.P.S at the Horton) - Dr Walker. Dr Walker discussed what life was like, showed us some equipment, photos and videos. She was very kind and answered all of our questions. We could not believe how many people worked so tirelessly hard in one area every second of the day and night. We are all truly inspired!
Thank you to all the member of staff who have helped during Miss Jobbins’ sick days!
