5AH back together again!
5AH have had a successful week back in school. We have enjoyed being back together again and catching up - we have had lots of time to talk about our feelings and adjust to being back in school.
This week, we have been recapping some of the knowledge we did online during lockdown. In Maths, we have been practicing using long division and in English, we have been practicing key SPaG skills and have completed a code breaker activity – we did not manage to escape! We have spent lots of time outdoors; on Monday we did a ‘times tables hunt’ and on Tuesday, we did a scavenger hunt – we could not find any dew! Today, we have made our ‘stick-star garden mobiles’ in outdoor learning and we have put them in the trees around the playground - we had lots of fun and they look amazing! The children said that they would like to do a painted handprint, so that we could put their hands together to celebrate being back together. We decided to arrange our handprints in a ‘heart wreath’, it looks brilliant (please see photo attached).
We have asked children about their first week back and they said that they have had a “very fun week” and are glad to be back to normal. They have also enjoyed the “relaxed activities” to get them back into learning.
We have had a lovely week being back together again, but we are ready for a well-earned rest this weekend!
