Our Mountains learning this week has continued with us exploring contour lines and what information they can tell us about a mountain. We looked at images of contour lines for famous mountains and landmarks such as The White Cliffs of Dover and then began constructing our own mountains using contour lines. We did brilliantly, as two of 5A are showing you!
In Maths we have continued to develop our subtraction learning by subtracting from multiples of 100 and 1000. We have continued to revisit the expanded method (see our Calculation Policy) but also develop our confidence with the compact method.
We have had a busy week innovating in English, thinking about diary entries, and are looking forward to writing our own individual recounts next week.
