This Accessibility Plan has been drawn up in consultation with and in accordance to guidance from the Local Authority, pupils, parents, staff and governors of the school. It covers the period from September 2014 to September 2017.
We are committed to providing a fully accessible environment which values and includes all pupils, staff, parents and visitors regardless of their education, physical, sensory, social, spiritual, emotional and cultural needs. We are committed to challenging negative attitudes about disability and accessibility and to developing a culture of awareness, tolerance and inclusion.
This plan will integrate with the school mission statement “Inspiring Young Minds” which aims to implement:
- Every Child Matters
- Excellence in Teaching
- Ensuring a varied and inspiring curriculum
- Working in partnership with families and the community
- Taking pride in ourselves and our school
