In English, this week, we have been learning how to use colons in the right place before a list and we have been editing our innovated story settings. We used our senses to help us describe. We played a game using a dice to help us edit. The number that you roll decides which change you have to make: 1 means add or change an adjective, 2 means add a sentence starter etc..
We have been learning our new song, Camel Funk, in Music, ready for Christmas.
We have been learning new vocabulary in Science: solution, dissolve, soluble and insoluble. We tried mixing salt, sugar and sand with water. The salt and sugar dissolved to make a transparent solution. The sand just made the water a bit dirty and settled at the bottom of the container, so it was insoluble. We also matched some materials to their properties.
In Maths we have been using Pac men to measure right angles, acute angles and obtuse angles. We had our first go at measuring angles with a protractor and on Friday we practised drawing circles with compasses. We have also been chunking to divide.
