Last week of term! And a massive thank you!

We completed our Topic for this term this week - Rivers. The chidlren answered their questions - KWL- they wrote at the start of the topic and also created their own fact files on the river they researched for their Home Learning.

In Maths, we have been measuring perimeter as well as representing data on bar charts. We created giant bar charts and wrote our own questions based on them. We then answered eachothers questions. As usual, we took our mental Maths test on Wendesday. If you would like to know your childs scores each week, please dont hesitate to ask.

In English, we have been writing our own funny stories based on a David Walliams book. We then invited the Year 3 children in to listen to our story. They thought our stories were excellent and really enoyed listening to us read.We have enjoyed this story, although it is a bit crazy! Every child should have brought home their pidgeon book, David Walliams book and also their rivers information booklet.

We are all very proud of our Art this week - fuits in watercolours. The children have really embraced using watercolours and looking at shading and tones.

A quick note just to say thank you to everyone for being so kind and patient whilst I was unwell. Thank you for all understanding and a massive thank you also goes to Ms Lowen, who taught the class brilliantly, Ms Wellsbury and Mrs Lammond. It was an absolute joy to see all the children and their beaming faces on the Wednesday I returned. I missed them all terribly and it was joyus to see them all. I hope you all have a wonderful half term and I look forward to an exciting and healthy Term 4!
