In Maths this week, we have been learning all about coordinates, pictograms and bar charts. We started the week by refreshing our knowledge on what a coordinate is and how do we place them? We then answered questions and created our own. Later in the week, we translated different coordinated shapes, to work out how the coordinate’s numbers change once the shape had been translated. We then looked at pictograms and bar charts, answering questions and even making our own!

In DT, we have been learning all about healthy food and what it takes to make a healthy meal. Over the last few weeks we have been designing our own healthy pizzas, in our DT designing booklets. Inside the booklets are all different areas that we had to think about before we got to make our pizza, such as: planning, design, redesign, packaging, evaluating ideas, types of pizzas and lots more! We have also been discussing health and safety and how to be safe in a kitchen and with tools.  On Thursday, we were very lucky to finally have the chance to make our own healthy pizzas, using our designs. It was a really fun lesson and we all made super yummy Pizzas that we ate at lunch!

In PE, we have been practicing for our sports day, which took part on the really hot Wednesday. We all had a brilliant day and tried hard in every race. We also really enjoyed the ice lollies we were given at the end!

In English, we have started our new topic- debating. We have discussed the methods of debating- yes and no questions, listening, being respectful etc. We have even watched videos of different politicians debating different subjects. At the end of the week, we were each given our own statement which we had to, in teams; write for and against answers for. We then, with 4O, had a class debate on the different subjects. The audience were allowed to participate and at the end we each took a vote either to pass the motion or not.

We have also had computing lessons, we even got to make out own music using the Ipads, with Mr Owens. In Music, we created a class garage band using the keyboards. In Science, we continued with our new topic- living things and their habitats, this week looking at classification keys.
