Firstly, apologies for no Blog last week - new laptop teething problems. Hopefully, the lovely picture this week will make up for it. We had a lovely afternoon today (Thursday) learning about the Great Crested Newts as part of Waste Week and most of us were lucky enought to see at least one of them in the pond. It was so good to get outside in the sunshine and we now know about the life-cycle of these little creatures.
This week, we finished writing our own myths. Mrs Oatridge read a paragraph of each of our stories and was very impressed. We are very proud of our writing :)
In Maths, we have been practising telling the time and need more practice so Home Learning is to be more timing of fun activities at home.
In Science, we have been testing materials to see whether they are opaque, transparent or translucent. Our shadow puppets are fabulous and we have lots of them on display.
Thank you for all who came to the ECO 5 Book, book swap - Maia Shawyer - you deserve a CBG - thank you for your help! We hope to buy a trolley so that we can start to compost the fruit waste properly, instead of sending it to land-fill!
Superstars Luke and Isabell have done a fabulous job this week. Top Banana was Katya for her brilliant story writing.
