Fractions in Maths... let's keep practising... Try to think of a fraction story that you can discuss every day at home. Approximately one third of the pupils in 3W are feeling confident in this area of Maths. However, we are a resilient bunch and we know that if you practise something, you DO get better at it! When I first went skiing as a middle aged person, I wanted to give up after day one! But I didn't and by the end of a week, I could actually move along for about 5 whole minutes without falling over! Never give up!!

In Art we have made our blocks ready for printing our repeated patterns a la William Morris next week.

In English, we have finished writing our own quest stories. We are very good at appreciating our classmates' efforts when reading out loud to the class. Spontanious applause is always a great pleasure to see. What a delightful class with some very talented writers, readers and listeners!

Next week, we shall be launching into a week of poetry. Look out for any that you have at home. Ask your parents about their favourite poem.

Superstars this week were Toby and Ava - great job.

Top Banana was Jesse (again) for consistently having a positive attitude and a positive effect on anyone who works with him smiley
