Welcome to Year 3!

The children have settled in really well to their new class and we have had a very busy week. We are basing our English learning around the brilliant BFG by Roald Dahl and the children have all created their own text maps to help them to retell the first chapter of the book. We have also painted our own pictures of Sophie in the style of Quentin Blake. The results are fabulous and will soon be on display in the school.

In Maths we have recapped the 5 and 10 times table and reminded ourselves about number bonds to 10 and 100.

We are learning French in Year 3 and can now ask someone their name and give a reply. We are learning the numbers 1-10.

Please ensure their is a named PE Kit in school EVERY DAY as the PE slots do get changed around sometimes. The swimming letter should have arrived home on Thursday - please return the slips by Monday.

Superstars Max and Ruby have done a wonderful job this week and Top Banana went to Liberty for  consistent effort in all areas of her learning this week.
