3SH have had a great week 2. The Tunnel has been much enjoyed and the children have shown their real imaginative spirit with the invention of their characters, settings, problems and solutions. Om, Ug, Im, Aye to name but a few will be parading next week. Maths gave us a chance to work with money – Pounds and Pence. Children were using numerous strategies to add amounts. We explored what Christmas means to us in RE. Children offered up lovely ideas for what Christmas means to them - a time to be with family, to remember Jesus’ birth, to give and receive presents or to eat roast dinner! Great fun was had learning the first few moves of the Holi dance which we will perform to Jai Ho. Children have been working hard to perfect actions such as changing the light bulb, feeding the chickens and windscreen wipers!
Super Super Stars were Max and Sayal, Emily is our Top achiever, Alicia showed real resilience in Maths and Joe is our magic mathematician. Thomas hung on to his Times Table Champion title. We are already looking forward to next week when we start to learn our Christmas songs, create Stone Age animal fact files and introduce days of the week and months of the year in French.
