What an exciting week we have had in 2S this week! In our topic lesson, the children had the opportunity to enter the world of the Formula 1 design, as they handled various Williams car parts and explored the different materials used to make them. The sketching activity allowed the children to really study various car parts and label their materials - it was so wonderful to see them so engrossed in their work. There was also the chance to sit in a real Williams F1 driver's seat and get to grips with the steering wheel in our very own Filipe Massa simulator! It really brought F1 to life and it was a real pleasure to see such enthusiasm from the children in their learning.

In Maths we were learning about Happy Numbers and consolidating their understanding of multiplication, division and missing numbers. Outdoor Learning focused on reading the time on an analogue clock and ended up with an extremely fun couple of games of 'What's the time, Mr Wolf?'

The children also continued to explore their geographical knowledge by using our brand new atlas'. They all excelled in researching the continents and oceans of the world, and were absolutely fascinated by the fabulous flags of the world.

And, that is all before we even begin to mention the maypole dancing, music and wonderful visit from Year 5 reading a story to the class in French!!! What a super week!
