The following blogg was written by our lovely Year 6 pupils following their interviewing of 2S pupils. Thank you for your time.

Maths - In Maths we have been measuring using metre sticks and rulers, then recording using cms. We had fun doing a standing jump, then marking it with chalk before measuring how far we jumped.  Lots of us could jump over 1m so we had to mark 1m before completing the measuring. We have also been using the < > to show less than and more than when comparing measurements. We use the crocodile mouth to helps us because the crocodile always eats the biggest number!

English - In English we have been learning a new story - Jack and the Beanstalk. On Friday George the Giant visited us and we asked him lot of questions. He had funny orange hair and huge ears just like The BFG!

Topic - we learned about Leonardo de Vinci who invented an Ornithopter which was meant to use every muscle of the human body.  It never flew because nobody was strong enough to make the 'wing flapping machine' work but if they had been the Ornithopter would have worked. We have also learned about the Montgolfier Brothers who invented the hot air balloon.  It was their dream to fly and they did lots of experiments discovering hot air rises.

RE - we have been learning about Jesus and how important his arrival is to Christians. We have learned a lot of stories about Jesus and also the stories Jesus told by watching video clips and talking about them.

PE - In outdoor PE we have been working with balls, throwing catching and kicking them.  In indoor PE we began to learn a dance focusing of the concept of winter time. We learned different moves and linked them.

A great start 2S!
