Title compiled by Daniel, Bea, Lake and Max.

We have been inspired by Frank Stella and Tim Lavell, both artists that are still alive. We loved Frank Stella, it felt like you were sucked into the paintings (Charlie H) and there were lined squares like mazes and lots of bright colours (Jordan). We used pastels and water colours to complete our artwork. My favourite was using the pastels (Scarlett). I liked doing the outlines of the the stripes which made the car look like it was moving towards me! (Harvey). You may have seen some of our art in the Art Tent at the Festival in the Playgound number 2!

We had great fun desigining a moving car. Lots of us chose to make a balloon powered car (Lake). I loved fixing all the parts together. I used a milk lids for wheels, a bottle for the body a straw and a balloon and a rubber band (Lily). Don't forget the axel made of a wooden skewer and a smaller straw (Lucy). The big straw was to put the balloon on so we could blow it up easily and this would make the car go fast (Samuel). My balloon car was fast and moved straight and great fun to play with (Alissia).

We used balloons again for balloon rockets. Miss Staples demonstrated one and then we had to plan an investigation. We chose to change the angle of the string - this is a variable (Lewis A). We had to stack lots of chairs to change the angle. This made it harder for the balloon to go uphill as it was going against gravity (Joe).

In Maths we used yoghurts pots to see how many filled 1litre. We also found out how many 100ml were needed to fill a litre container.  The class was like a swimming pool! But we had fun learning (Bella).

We also had a 'Lightening McQueen Shop' with lots of disney toys in which we paid for and we worked out our change (Thomas C)

I love learning (Georgia!)
