Have you ever looked after a bear?

This week in Literacy we have been imitating a non-fiction text all about bears. We have created actions to go alongside our text map, and we are now very knowledgeable about bears (although we are still pretending bears like marmalade – we learnt this from Paddington!) Next week we will focus on innovating the text so that it focuses on another animal.

In Maths we have been learning how to double numbers up to 10 and learning how to find 1 more and 1 less of a number using 100 squares and number lines.

We have continued our topic on Dinosaurs this week by investigating the different footprints left behind by different types of dinosaurs. We had a go at drawing our own – this involved bright green paint, which might have gone on more than just the worksheet!

With Yoga, Music, Games and RE too, this week has been jam packed! Lots more learning to do as we go into Week 6 of Year 1! smiley
