After our half term we have returned fresh and raring to go!
We showed our budding artistic talents this week by experimenting with paint and water to create our own watercolour backgrounds before stencilling a dinosaur on it. We then learnt about the largest dinosaur ever discovered; a breed of titanosaur, and went outside to measure out its impressive 40 metres length. We have imitated our new text (How to catch a dinosaur) so well that many of us can now say it off by heart. We needed to learn this as after morning break on Monday, we came off the playground to see that a potential therapod had ransacked the Year 1 classrooms and shared area. We were visited by Professor Huxley who is an expert in catching large, powerful animals! All in a busy day's learning!
