Memories made

Christmas activities are in full swing at school. Last week our amazing Choir had the privilege of opening the Christmas Tree Festival at St. Mary’s Church, Bloxham. There were 80+ of them and once again they were wonderful. They sang with great pride and pleasure and were simply a joy to hear. As well as sounding fantastic those lucky enough to be in the church could see just how involved and animated they were in their singing.

On Thursday and Friday last week we had one of the regular highlights of the year- the Partnership Foundation Stage Unit Christmas Nativity. This year was no exception- it was simply priceless. The young children were remarkable both in their composure and clear enjoyment in being part of the nativity. Watching the children and the very proud reaction of their parents, carers and families was a memory which will stay with me for a long time. As I said after one of the performances working with children continues to be the most rewarding possible profession.

As you would expect, most classes have their own particular advent calendar which the children, quite understandably, enjoy opening each day. As can be seen from the attached image the classes in Year 3 have given created their own particular calendar this year, “Our Kindness Advent Calendar.” A wonderful perspective at this time particular time of year.
