Infectious enthusiasm

Many parents have commented on the real improvements by the main  school gate that were completed during the summer break.  Both the mural and the work on the grounds were completed by members of staff, not as part of the contractual work but because they wanted to make a difference. They could see that it needed to be done- so did it. It was a real unexpected pleasure to see the changes at the beginning of the year.

One morning this week a parent told me, “My son was talking to me yesterday about his work in school and said that he had been innovating- and he is only 5. I asked him to explain what the word meant and he got is just right. I’m very impressed.”  It was clear that the enthusiasm of his teacher has already had a real impact on him.

On Friday I was fortunate enough to show a prospective family our school. They were really impressed by the atmosphere and the resources that we have at Bloxham Primary School. They accepted the place on the spot and as they were leaving were overheard saying that they couldn’t believe how lucky they were to have been offered a place and how excited they were to be joining our school. Their enthusiasm brought a smile to everyone who was lucky enough to hear the conversation.
