In Games this week we have been practising our Netball skills. In PE we had a visit from Andy who is from Oxfordshire County Cricket. It was raining a bit and we got quite wet but we still really enjoyed it. We all had a go at batting and fielding and it was very energetic!
This week we did some World War 2 cooking with rations. We made Cheesy Lentil pie. We all helped to make it, grating cheese, chopping onions and mashing potatoes. Most of us quite liked it and some of us had fourths! Even if you didn’t really like it, you would still have to eat it during the war, as there wouldn’t have been anything else.
In English we interviewed a Minotaur. We thought up some really good questions to ask Thomas and Joanna, who were our Minotaurs: What do people taste like? What did it feel like living in the labyrinth? If you could choose what to eat, what would you really like? We also drew pictures after listening to descriptions. We used our home learning ideas to help us with our writing.
In Maths we have been comparing and converting mixed numbers and improper fractions and finding equivalent fractions and decimals.
Bob Marley was the focus of our Music lesson this week. We also investigated Dub Reggae.
We looked at different Hindu gods and learned about the Tri Murti (three gods)
the preserver the destroyer
