Week 2 already! Where has the time gone? Again, this has been a fabulous week for 4J, with a range of active lessons and excitement!

This week the children were very lucky to get the instruments they will be learning across this academic year. Every child will be practicing once a week with Miss Nobel Coles, so please still encourage practicing at home. I did sneak into their first instrument music lesson this week and it was a joy to watch them all trying to use their instruments and having a go. I cannot wait to see them all develop into musicians!

We have also this week made our junk model instruments for our final science lesson on sound and vibration. The children created a Samba band with authentic samba beats and played around the field. The focus being on, how sound travels, how different instruments make different sounds and vibrations and also discussing soundwaves and different pitches with different ranges and instruments. It was brilliant to be part of their discussions on vibrations, sound, pitch and soundwaves during their performances. It was also a very rewarding and enjoyable experience for all.

For any parents and carers who were unable to make Mondays presentation, please come and find myself or Mr Owens for a copy.

Well done all in 4J for another wonderful week. Here is to week 3!
